I don't think I've mentioned it a lot here on my blog but I became totally obsessed with the
Erin Condren Life Planners over the past several months. I've always had a thing for planners but have never found one that I have really loved and wanted to use long-term. Then I stumbled across Erin Condren and her amazing, customizable life planners. I fell in love.
The only problem was the price tag on those pretty little things. $50 was way out of my price range for a daily planner. Despite the fact that it's something I will be using everyday basically throughout the year, I simply do not have an extra $50 sitting around for a fancy planner. I waited patiently, knowing that one day, I would get one, somehow. To show you just how crazy I became about them, I regularly went to her website and went through all the steps of creating my planner, all the way to the checkout process to see if the price had miraculously changed! As you can probably imagine, the price stayed the same, every time. But I still had fun, creating and personalizing several different ones until I decided on the one I would get if I ever was able to snag a deal on one.
Lucky for me, that's exactly what happened! At the beginning of December I saw a tweet about buying a $50 voucher for $25 to use on Erin Condren's website. I was ecstatic since my mom was planning on still getting me a few more things for Christmas. I quickly informed her that I wanted
this for Christmas so I ordered the voucher and then
ran, as much as one can online, over to place my order on the website.
I tracked the progress of my planner on a
daily, hourly basis. I watched it go from pending to shipped to...
delivered, bless my soul. I had no idea waiting for a planner would be this exciting. But it really was.
I had just told my mom to be on the lookout for the FedEx truck while I was out grocery shopping, when I stepped out into the garage and saw the FedEx truck parked right in front of my house! I rushed back into the house and went to the front door to find my beautiful box waiting for me on the porch.
Even the box is pretty...see?
So without anymore long descriptions of my excitement about my planner, here are some pictures I snapped of it for those who are curious as to why I'm so excited about it:
| The front. I chose the Le Fluer design in Retro. |
| It's about the size of a medium sized notebook. |
| Lots of cool quotes peppered throughout the planner. |
| Special dates to fill in birthdays and anniversaries so you can see them at a glance. LOVE THIS FEATURE! |
| The month-at-a-glance page along with a colorful quote. |
| TABS for the months! Love the colors! |
| Week-at-a-glance. Love that each day is split into three times: morning, day & night. |
| Each month begins with a goals and to-do list so you know if you have anything major going on that month. |
| I love all the little details throughout the planner for the special dates. |
| Lots of pages for note-taking at the back. |
| Cute stickers for special days. |
| Yes please! I'll take both! |
| 4 pages of blank stickers to write in what YOU need them to say! |
| A folder to keep important papers in. Also, a metaphor I need to take to heart! |
| Cool zipper pouch to keep things like stamps and my nifty, personalized labels! |
| Two different labels I got for putting on gifts from me and my family. |
| Last page is a laminated calendar with the next 2 years on it. I love being able to look ahead that far. |
| A cute post card that says it all! Also, on the back is my super secret code for $10 off my next order! WOO HOO!! |
So there you have it. My super cute and uber functional life planner from Erin Condren. I know the price is high but if you find a code it's definitely worth it and if you are someone who really uses a planner a lot, you might think it's even worth the $50! I'll have a better idea by the end of next year if it's worth that much for me but I think I'll get my $25 worth for sure! If you are a teacher she has teacher planners that are extremely cute and have lots of neat things in them that will help you with your school year. If I had known I was going to be going back to teach this spring, I might have opted for one of those but it's too late for that now, maybe next school year though!
Check out all her awesome products on her website if you are one who orders a lot of cards and personalized stationary type things. She is quite pricey but if you like this kind of thing, you will probably find it well worth the money. And the customer service is awesome! I follow her on Twitter and she always responds to my tweets super quick!
In the future I think I will save the money and get the high quality products she provides because I'm so impressed with her company and how she runs it and that everything is made here in America! The more we buy from her the more she can expand and hire more people. :) It's a win-win!
And now, back to playing with my pretty planner!
(Just as a disclaimer, I am not in any way being compensated to write this review of the planner. That would ROCK, but it's not the case. I just really loved my planner and had several friends wanting pictures so I thought I would write a little bit to explain the pictures. Enjoy!)
